Built in Attic storage to an 100 year old property
Attic Lad WA, recently Built in Attic storage to a 100 year old property -Mosman Park Perth WA. The Older property’s are always a bit of a challenge and this old weatherboard cottage was no exception. This Property had some great attic space and just needed a safe access to it. The Owners had contacted me after seeing my Facebook page and reading many of my 5 star reviews . I was commissioned to install one of my quality 3.3 meter wooden attic access ladders and to create 15 square meters of Built in Attic storage space.
On the internal inspection of the roof space it was noted the ceiling joist hanger beam were the flooring was to go was in a very poor condition which had cased the ceiling to sag . There was only one solution to this and that was to re prop the ceiling up and replace the old ceiling joist with a new heavy duty ceiling joist hanger beam . All this was done on the day with minimum fuss and little cost to the owner. At the end of the job I also installed a turbo-beam whirlybird which helps to extract the heat out of the roof space whilst letting in natural light .
